Corporate Governance

Good corporate governance - pointing out corporate directors who should and shouldn't be elected anywhere. This is my attempt to keep track of good people for board of directors and keep track of people who should be avoided.

Alcatel-Lucent - the more things change, the more things stay the same (shareholders lose money)

Daniel Bernard - former CEO of Carrefour, on a number of boards

Frank W. Blount - former CEO of Telstra, former CEO of Cupress Communications, also on a number of boards

Jozef Cornu - Alcatel lifer, various positions within the firm. Looks like he's done real work and not a CEO underperformer/board hopper.

Linnet F. Deily - former CEO of First Interstate Bancorp, also on boards of Chevron and Honeywell.

Robert E. Denham - former CEO of Salomon, also on a few boards (Chevron, Wesco)

Edward E. Hagenlocker - former Chairman of Visteon, also on a few boards (American Standard, AmeriSourceBergen)

Jean-Pierre Halbron - former CEO or Chairman of a number of firms, now on the boards of Alstom and Electro Banque)

Sylvia Jay

Karl J. Krapek

Daniel Lebègue

Patricia F. Russo - CEO of Alcatel-Lucent

Henry B. Schacht

Jean-Cyril Spinetta

Serge Tchuruk

Oh my lord, I'm getting bored writing this. This board is the retirement home for other former executives who clearly couldn't get their former firms to green them enough to keep them retired and in the Hamptons.

These former CEOs are not going to bother keeping the CEO's feet to the fire.

Note the cross overs to: Visteon, Delta, Prudential, L'Oreal, Lazard, American Standard, AmeriSourceBergen, Chevron * 2, Wesco, Honeywell, Caterpillar, Entergy
